Early Modern Texts, is a site that has versions of early modern texts in philosophy like Hobbes, Berkeley, Bacon, Descartes and more. The texts are modified, i.e., simplified to make them easier to understand for beginning philosophy students. The texts are available as PDF documents.
Free Buddhist Audio, hosts the sounds and text of the Western Buddhist Order. You can find podcasts and music and plenty of information about Buddhism. This is a good site for the student doing research on this religion.
Internet Sacred Text Archive, is an impressive site for religious scholars, students and teachers. On this site you will find links to hundreds of sacred texts about religion, mythology, legends, the occult and folklore. All of this is free. Just a few examples of what's available includes Islam (various versions of the Koran, Native American religions, UFO files, the Sir Richard Burton translation of the Kama Sutra, Christianity, Jainism and much more. This is just an incredible resource that is a must visit place for anyone interested in this fascinating area. The site's About page notes that it has no agenda other than to promote religious tolerance and scholarship.
Islamic Awareness, is an interesting site. It has a collection of articles that address questions and issues frequently raised by Christian Missionaries and Orientalists.
Religion Facts, is a cool site that says its goal is to present just the facts on religions found around the world. Some of the religions covered are: Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucionism, Rastafari, Falun Gong, Judaism and lots more. There is a short introductory paragraph for each religion, as well as more information on beliefs, customs, texts , etc. Additionally there are annotated links to sites that discuss the religion in more detail. And, there are some articles about hot topics, such as homosexuality in world religions. Great resource for teachers who are covering world religions.
Religious Cults, has some quick and basic information on cults. Good for Middle School students who are studying religion.
What is Sufism?, is an article about the relationship between sufism and psychoanalysis. If you want to know what sufism is, check this out for an introduction.
Zen, is a really cool site that introduces the visitor to the fundamentals of Zen.It's hard to describe this site, you really have to experience it.
