Welcome to the Foreign Languages page
Foreign languages are taught in all international schools. Most schools teach the national language as part of the foreign language curriculum; many also teach one or more other languages depending on the size of the school and the grade levels offered. Teachers working overseas will often learn at least some of the local language depending on how long they intend to work in that country. Below are links for teachers and students who have the language bug. Some of these sites have audio capabilities which make learning a language online almost as good as being in a language lab.
BBC - Languages, is the homepage for the online BBC language courses for beginners. The languages offered are Spanish, French, German, Italian, Greek, Chinese and Portuguese. This site has interactive slideshows and you can learn 10 key words and phrases in about 20 minutes online. You can test your level with a language gauge. You need Flash software installed on your machine in order to use this site. The software is free for downloading.
