Welcome to the Movies page
I've wanted to add a movie page for ages, and never had the time or the patience to just do it. So, I've done it. You'll find links here to all sorts of stuff on the internet about movies: movie reviews, film fanatic pages, movie soundtracks, movie clips, and whatever else I find that fits the bill.
Blade Runner - The Replicant Site, is about one of the greatest movies ever made. Not only do I love the film, but the dialogue bites that you can get from around the internet are great to use for a variety of things. If you love Blade Runner, you will want to check this site out. By the way, this is a site that you can use with students who love science fiction and want to write about it. All sorts of great discussions can come from here, as well, in technology class or social studies.
Brian's Drive-In Theater , has a lot of information about B-movies. He has sections on The Many Faces of Hercules, Film Tarzans, and more. Interesting if you like B-films.
Cult Films, is for the fan of cult films. This site has three pages of information about cult films including cult films, cult directors, the definition of what a cult film, and foreign cult films. Definitely a site to visit if you want to learn more about cult films or want to see if your favorite films qualify as cult films like Blade Runner.
Greatest Films , is a great site for the student of film. You can find pages on the greatest films of all time, the greatest war films, the greatest directors, most famous movie moments, and more. If you love films, you have to check out this site.
Hitchcock, is a website about Alfred Hitchcock the great director. For those of you too young to remember Htitchcock, he made some great films, as well as doing a tv show in the late '50s. Hitchcock was famous for his cameos. You'll find him somewhere in each of his films. A few of his great films were North by Northwest, Psycho, Dial M for Murder, and Rear Window. If you're a film buff or a Hitchcock fan, you should check this site out.
Internet Archive: Moving Images Archive , is a cool database of flims, movie trailers, animations and cartoons, sound tracks, documentaries, and on and on. Definitely have to check this place out if you teach kids about movies, use movies as a point of reference in your content area classes, teach history, or teach film-making.
Koreanfilm.org , is a site dedicated to Korean films. You will find information about all the releases organized by year, bios of actors, a discussion board, and a history of Korean cinema. This is a great site if you happen to be a Korean flim buff, or want to learn more about international film.
Rotten Tomatoes, is a well-known site to movie viewers and movie reviewers. You can get reviews, trailers, articles and news here. If you are a movie buff, you might want to stop by this site.
